Calculate the maximum simultaneous platform load

Calculate the required scissor lift load capacity by adding the maximum combined weight of everyone and everything that will be on the platform at the same time:

• All personnel
• Personal protective equipment
• Tools
• Materials

Required capacity = maximum simultaneous weight of personnel, protective equipment, tools and materials + an allowance for margin.

Check both SSL-16RT limits

The Onchtech SSL-16RT has a rated load capacity of 680 kg and a maximum occupancy of 4 people. Both limits must be met simultaneously:

• The calculated load, including the allowance for margin, must remain within the 680 kg rated capacity.
• No more than 4 people may occupy the platform, even if the total load is below 680 kg.

Verify the extension platform’s separate load limit

Before selecting or operating the SSL-16RT, check the operating manual for the extension platform’s separate load limit. Do not assume that the extension platform can carry the full 680 kg rated load.
