CZ50-10 Telehandler Configuration Guide for Bulk Material Handling
Bulk material handling requires more than lifting height alone. Material density, attachment weight, working reach and ground conditions all influence whether a telehandler configuration suits the job. The Onchtech CZ50-10 is a heavy-duty rough-terrain telehandler for applications including agricultural bulk material handling, mining yards and infrastructure projects.
Its 93 kW Weichai engine, Rexroth hydraulic system and hydrostatic drive provide the equipment platform. Selecting the working configuration requires a separate review of the material, attachment and operating envelope.
Start with the material and handling task
Before choosing an attachment or specifying a handling volume, define what the machine will move and where it must place it. A configuration suitable for one loose material may not suit another with a higher density or different flow characteristics.
- Material properties: Identify the material, its expected bulk density, moisture variation, particle size and any abrasive or sticky characteristics.
- Required quantity per cycle: State the target volume and estimated material mass rather than relying on attachment volume alone.
- Pickup and discharge points: Describe stockpile access, receiving height, horizontal setback and obstacles around the placement area.
- Operating pattern: Explain travel distances, cycle frequency and whether the task involves repeated loading, short-distance transfer or elevated placement.
Initial material-mass estimate: bulk density × intended fill volume. This estimates the material only; attachment mass, load position and the applicable load chart must also be considered. It is not an approval of lifting capacity.
CZ50-10 features relevant to configuration
| Feature | Published specification | Configuration consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | 93 kW Weichai engine | Review the intended duty cycle and site operating requirements. |
| Hydraulics and controls | Rexroth hydraulics; pilot proportional control | Confirm hydraulic requirements for any proposed powered attachment. |
| Working envelope | 9.8 m maximum lifting height; 7.3 m maximum forward reach | Check the required height and reach together against the load chart. |
| Chassis and drive | Heavy-duty chassis, hydrostatic drive and wet-brake drive axles | Assess travel routes, ground support and braking conditions. |
| Frame leveling | ±10° frame leveling | Do not interpret leveling range as an allowable operating slope. |
| Steering | Front-wheel, crab and four-wheel steering | Review maneuvering space and the operating instructions for each mode. |
Confirm attachment compatibility before ordering
A proposed bulk-handling attachment must be assessed as part of the complete machine configuration. Physical fit alone does not establish compatibility or safe working capacity.
- Mechanical interface: Confirm the mounting arrangement, locking method and attachment dimensions.
- Weight and load position: Provide attachment mass and center-of-gravity information so their effect on allowable payload can be evaluated.
- Hydraulic connection: For powered attachments, verify required pressure, flow, couplings and control functions against the proposed machine configuration.
- Handling behavior: Check material retention, discharge clearance and visibility during pickup, travel and placement.
- Operating documentation: Obtain confirmation of compatibility, applicable capacity information and operating restrictions before use.
Do not assume that a particular bucket, grapple or other attachment is included or approved. Availability and suitability require confirmation for the specific CZ50-10 configuration.
Match the operating envelope to the site
Agricultural bulk material handling
Provide the material density range, storage layout and receiving height. Where moisture or compaction changes the material mass, use a representative operating range rather than a single nominal value.
Mining yards and infrastructure projects
Describe stockpile access, surface firmness, loose ground, gradients and nearby vehicle movements. Rough-terrain capability does not remove the need to assess ground-bearing conditions and establish suitable travel and handling procedures.
Common configuration questions
Can the CZ50-10 carry the same load throughout its reach?
Do not assume constant capacity. The permissible load must be checked for the actual boom position, attachment and machine setup using the applicable load chart.
Is attachment volume enough to select a bulk-handling configuration?
No. Material density determines the mass associated with that volume. Attachment weight, load center and placement geometry also affect suitability.
What information helps assess an existing attachment?
Provide its model, drawings or interface dimensions, weight, center-of-gravity details and hydraulic requirements where relevant. Compatibility should be confirmed before installation.
Prepare your CZ50-10 configuration request
Share your material specification, target volume per cycle, required placement height and reach, site conditions and any proposed attachment details with Onchtech. Site photographs or layout drawings can help clarify access and discharge constraints.
