Solution
Plan multi-floor construction material delivery with the Onchtech CZ50-18 telehandler, assessing lift height, forward reach, load limits and site access.

Delivering construction materials to different floors requires more than sufficient lifting height. The machine must reach the receiving point, handle the load at that position and operate within the space and ground conditions available on site.

The Onchtech CZ50-18 telehandler can support ground-to-floor material delivery to accessible receiving points. With a rated capacity of 5,000 kg, a maximum lift height of 17.9 m and a maximum forward reach of 13.2 m, it provides a material-handling option for multi-floor construction projects where the planned lifts fall within its approved operating envelope.

Start with capacity at the receiving point

The CZ50-18’s 5,000 kg rated capacity does not apply at every boom position. The listed capacity at maximum height is 1,100 kg, while the listed capacity at maximum forward reach is 900 kg. These figures describe different operating limits and are not interchangeable.

Planning rule: Check the actual load, attachment, lift height, forward reach and machine configuration against the manufacturer’s load chart and operating instructions. Maximum height and maximum reach must not be assumed to be available simultaneously.

Key specifications for floor-delivery planning

Parameter CZ50-18 specification Planning relevance
Rated capacity 5,000 kg A rated figure, not a capacity available throughout the working envelope.
Maximum lift height 17.9 m Assess against the receiving elevation and clearance required for placement.
Capacity at maximum height 1,100 kg Verify the applicable conditions in the load chart.
Maximum forward reach 13.2 m Evaluate the distance from the machine position to the receiving point.
Capacity at maximum reach 900 kg Do not substitute the rated or maximum-height capacity.
Machine dimensions: length × width × height 6,600 × 2,500 × 2,700 mm Check access routes, overhead clearance and positioning space.
Operating weight 13,000 kg Include machine weight and operating loads in the ground-support assessment.
Outer-wheel turning radius 5.2 m Allow additional clearance for the machine, attachment and load.

Match machine features to site requirements

Controlled approach and material positioning

A 96 kW diesel engine, hydrostatic drive and pilot proportional controls support travel and controlled material positioning. The standard engine is Weichai, with Cummins available as an option. Configuration should be confirmed during quotation, including requirements for the destination market.

Maneuvering beside the building

Front-wheel, crab and four-wheel steering modes provide options for maneuvering within the available site layout. Before selecting a machine position, account for access routes, façade setbacks, scaffolding, stored materials and the space needed to approach and withdraw safely.

Ground conditions and machine setup

The heavy-duty chassis, wet-brake axles, 430 mm ground clearance and ±10° frame-leveling range are relevant to construction-site operation. These features do not remove the need for suitable ground support or authorize lifting on arbitrary slopes. Setup and operation must follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

A practical sequence for planning each delivery

  1. Define the load. Record material weight, dimensions, packaging, load-center information and the proposed attachment. Confirm how attachment weight affects available capacity.
  2. Map the receiving point. Measure elevation and horizontal distance, identify obstructions and establish the clearance needed to place and release the material.
  3. Validate the lift. Use the applicable manufacturer’s load chart to check the complete handling movement—not only the final placement position.
  4. Assess access and support. Review travel routes, turning space, ground bearing conditions, excavations and nearby structures with the responsible site personnel.
  5. Coordinate unloading. Confirm that the receiving area can support the delivered load and that trained personnel, communication arrangements and exclusion zones are in place.

When to review an alternative delivery method

Reassess the handling method if the required load exceeds the charted capacity, the receiving point is obstructed, the machine cannot be positioned on suitable ground or unloading cannot be controlled safely. The CZ50-18 is a material-handling machine; this solution does not imply approval for lifting personnel.

Common planning questions

Can the CZ50-18 deliver 5,000 kg to the highest floor within reach?

Not on the basis of its rated capacity alone. The listed capacity at maximum height is 1,100 kg, subject to the relevant load-chart conditions. Each receiving position requires its own capacity check.

How many floors can it serve?

A fixed floor count cannot be determined from the 17.9 m maximum lift height. Floor elevations, building setbacks, placement clearance, forward reach and load weight all affect suitability.

Does frame leveling make any uneven site suitable?

No. Frame leveling is a machine feature, not a substitute for assessing ground support and following setup limits. Site suitability must be established before operation.
