Planning Landscaping Material Transport with the NC10001 Tracked Carrier
Landscaping material transport depends on more than whether a machine fits through the entrance. A practical plan connects the loading point, travel route and unloading position while accounting for material weight, ground conditions and space for maneuvering.
The Onchtech NC10001 electronically controlled gasoline tracked carrier provides specific reference points for this assessment: a 1,000 kg specified payload, 850 mm machine width, 0.5 m³ hopper and 180° hopper rotation. These specifications help landscaping contractors and material-handling teams evaluate narrow-access work without treating compact dimensions as a guarantee of site suitability.
Use the specifications as planning inputs
The NC10001 combines a gasoline engine, hydraulic gear pump and electronic control handle. Its tracked chassis and compact body are intended for material movement in confined and uneven work areas. The following specifications are particularly relevant when planning landscaping transport.
| Parameter | Specified value | What to assess on site |
|---|---|---|
| Overall dimensions | 2,476 × 850 × 1,336 mm (L × W × H) | Entrance dimensions, route clearance and maneuvering space. |
| Payload and hopper volume | 1,000 kg; 0.5 m³ | Material density, load distribution and quantity per trip. |
| Machine weight | 860 kg | Ground support and any load-rated structures along the route. |
| Hopper movement | 180° rotation; 85° tipping angle | Discharge direction and clearance throughout hopper movement. |
| Turning radius | 1.3 m | Corners, route transitions and loading-area layout. |
| Travel speed | 2–3 km/h | Travel time as one component of the full transport cycle. |
| Gradeability | 25° specified | Slope conditions and manufacturer-confirmed operating limits for the intended load. |
Specifications are reference values, not confirmation that a particular route, slope or unloading arrangement is safe.
Build the transport plan around four checks
1. Measure the entire access route
Check the narrowest points between the delivery area and the work zone, including gates, bends, walls and temporary obstacles. The 850 mm machine width is only the starting measurement: allow additional working clearance and assess the full machine envelope when turning.
A straight passage and a tight corner present different constraints. Do not use the stated turning radius alone to approve a route without considering machine length, nearby obstacles and the operator’s working position.
2. Match each load to both weight and volume
For landscaping materials such as soil, aggregate or mulch, hopper capacity and payload must be checked separately. Dense material may reach the weight limit before filling the hopper, while lighter material may reach the volume limit first. Moisture can also change the weight of a planned load.
Load-planning relationship: material mass = loaded volume × material bulk density. Use density information appropriate to the actual material and its condition, then check the proposed load against the specified payload and applicable operating instructions.
3. Review ground conditions and slopes
Inspect soft ground, wet sections, loose surfaces, edges and changes in gradient. The NC10001 has a tracked chassis with independent suspension, but these features do not remove the need to assess ground support, traction and surface protection.
Do not interpret the specified 25° gradeability as approval for every loaded slope operation. Confirm permissible conditions for the intended load, travel direction and surface with the manufacturer before planning slope work. As a gasoline-powered machine, it also requires assessment of exhaust exposure and ventilation, particularly in enclosed or partially enclosed areas.
4. Reserve space for unloading
Plan where material will land before positioning the carrier. The hopper’s 180° rotation and 85° tipping angle provide options for discharge positioning, but the full movement needs clearance. Check ground stability, nearby structures and separation from people throughout unloading; hopper rotation does not eliminate the need for a suitable machine position.
Assess the complete working cycle—not travel speed alone
The electronic control handle and stepless speed control support on-site maneuvering. The specified powertrain comprises a Runtong 13.5 HP, 420 cc gasoline engine and a 10 cc/rev hydraulic gear pump, with electric and recoil starting.
For a realistic transport plan, include loading, outward travel, positioning, unloading and return travel. Congested access, loading availability and unloading clearance can influence the cycle as much as the specified 2–3 km/h travel speed. Avoid assigning a fixed hourly output without site-specific assessment.
Questions to resolve before selecting the NC10001
Will it fit through an 850 mm opening?
An opening equal to the stated machine width does not provide working clearance. Measure the usable opening and approach, then confirm the required allowance for safe passage.
Can every full hopper carry 1,000 kg?
No. The 0.5 m³ hopper volume and 1,000 kg payload describe different limits. The permissible fill depends on material density, load distribution and operating conditions.
What information helps confirm site suitability?
Provide route measurements, corner layouts, slope details, surface conditions, material type and expected load weight, together with loading and unloading arrangements. Photographs or a site sketch can help clarify constraints.
