Planning High-Tip Material Transfers with the NC10003 Electric Tracked Carrier
High-tip material transfer requires more than enough carrying capacity. The load must also remain within the lifting limit, the hopper must align with the receiving point, and the machine needs a suitable approach and unloading position.
The Onchtech NC10003 electric tracked carrier combines an 850 mm-wide chassis with an elevating hopper for material handling in construction, landscaping and restricted-access sites. Its electric-hydraulic system supports transport and raised unloading, with wireless remote control and manual driving as two operating options.
Two load limits—not one
The NC10003 has a 1,000 kg transport capacity, a separate 500 kg lifting limit and a specified hopper discharge height of 1.5 m. The transport rating must not be treated as the permitted load for elevated unloading.
- For transport: plan within the 1,000 kg rated carrying capacity and the operating instructions.
- For high-tip transfer: keep the lifted load within 500 kg and verify the receiving arrangement.
- For receiver compatibility: check both height and horizontal clearance; a 1.5 m discharge height alone does not establish compatibility with every truck or bin.
Specifications that shape the transfer plan
| Parameter | NC10003 specification |
|---|---|
| Transport capacity / lifting limit | 1,000 kg / 500 kg |
| Hopper volume | 0.5 m³ |
| Discharge height / hopper tipping angle | 1.5 m / 85° |
| Overall dimensions, L × W × H | 2,476 × 850 × 1,336 mm |
| Machine weight | 960 kg |
| Travel speed / turning radius | 2–3 km/h / 1.3 m |
| Battery and motor | 48 V, 210 Ah lead-acid battery pack; 5.5 kW AC motor |
| Hydraulic gear pump displacement | 10 cc/rev |
| Control options | Wireless remote control with a specified 150 m range; manual driving |
Battery-electric operation produces no exhaust emissions at the point of use. Runtime and charging time are not specified here and should be confirmed for the intended duty cycle.
Check the complete route—from loading to discharge
Establish material weight before choosing a batch size
Record the material type, bulk density and moisture condition. The 0.5 m³ hopper volume is not a payload rating: a full hopper can exceed the lifting limit with dense materials. Size each high-tip batch by weight, not by visual fill level alone.
Measure access and manoeuvring space
Use the 850 mm machine width as a starting dimension, not as the required passage width. Allow for clearance, uneven edges, obstacles and safe separation from people. Check the approach and exit against the machine length and specified 1.3 m turning radius.
Verify the truck or bin interface
Measure the receiving edge height, side-wall profile, horizontal gap and overhead obstructions. Confirm that the hopper can discharge into the receiving opening without contact throughout its lifting and tipping movement. Do not assume that a receiving edge at 1.5 m leaves sufficient unloading clearance.
Assess ground support and unloading position
The tracked chassis and independent suspension support travel over varied terrain, but they do not remove the need to assess bearing capacity, crossfall, soft ground and nearby edges. The listed 25° gradeability is not an elevated-unloading slope allowance. Confirm operating restrictions and unloading conditions in the machine instructions before use.
Choose the control mode around visibility
Wireless remote control allows operation from a position away from the carrier, while manual driving provides an alternative for close-range operation. Select the mode according to sight lines, pedestrian movement and the approved operating procedure—not distance alone.
The specified 150 m remote-control range is not a guarantee of performance in every site environment. Maintain a clear view of the machine and discharge area, establish an exclusion zone, and confirm signal performance before working near structures or obstructions. Intelligent fault diagnosis, remote monitoring and management-platform connectivity are also supported; confirm the supplied configuration and integration requirements during procurement.
Common planning questions
Can a one-tonne load be raised for unloading?
No. The specified transport capacity is one tonne, but the separate lifting limit is 0.5 tonne. Plan loads intended for elevated unloading within the 500 kg lifting limit.
Is the NC10003 suitable for narrow landscaping or construction access?
Its 850 mm width makes it a candidate for restricted-access material transfer. Suitability still depends on passage clearance, turning space, surface conditions, gradients and the receiving arrangement.
Can it unload directly into a truck or storage bin?
The high-scissor elevating hopper is designed for raised transfer to receivers such as trucks or bins. Compatibility must be checked against the 1.5 m discharge height, hopper movement, receiving geometry and 500 kg lifting limit.
